Frustrated Teacher Cuts Student’s Hair

A Milwaukee Public Schools teacher is issued a ticket for disorderly conduct after cutting a 7-year-old girl’s braid to stop the child from “playing with her hair” during class.
Lamya Cammon, a first grade student at Congress Elementary said her teacher called her to the front of the class and cut her hair. Lamya also said the other children laughed at her as she cried.
When Lamya’s mother arrived on campus the teacher said frustration lead to her actions.
The school district has not fired the teacher and are still investigating.
Lamya was placed into another classroom.
